Level Devlog 1.3.3


This week has been a little busy for me with leaving in and out of the house but I did have time to procure milestone 3. Which was to provide more obstacles or assets to the level. First and foremost based on all the feedback that I received in previous weeks. It was to include:

  • Child assets to the environment
  • Add More kitchen stuff
  • Fixing the look of the sink(fixing the normals)

I wanted to work on fixing the normals first and after doing that I decided that stretching out the facts up and down of the sink makes it look wider compared to what it used to be especially within the scene you can kind of tell that the space between the end of the sink and where it starts was too big of a gap. So I went in and fixed that first. I then decided to give my kitchen some cabinets after admittedly procrastinating on doing them as I couldn't figure out the proper design and scaling for them.

Next, I made an assembly of items that we wanted based on my list and a group list we made from the beginning of assets. I made one item a day as they are just majority made from cylinders but fine-tuning it and making sure it looks appropriate in the proper spots was tedious.
